Curious Combo - Cockatrice Print & Sticker

Bring home one of medieval folklore’s strangest monsters with this matching Cockatrice A5 art print and sticker set.

Inspired by the wonderfully bizarre legend of the Cockatrice, the artwork features my interpretation of the infamous rooster-serpent-dragon lurking outside a chicken coop alongside some rather concerned chickens.

According to medieval folklore, a Cockatrice could be born from an egg laid by a rooster and incubated by a toad or serpent. Once hatched, it was said to have a deadly gaze, poisonous breath and an impressive collection of other unpleasant abilities.

The original artwork was created by hand using pen, ink and watercolour, combining intricate linework with the little black, white-eyed creatures that appear throughout my Curious Bunny folklore collection.
