Cockatrice Sticker | Vinyl Sticker
A tiny medieval monster for your laptop, notebook or wherever else needs a slightly murderous chicken-dragon.
Inspired by the wonderfully bizarre Cockatrice of medieval folklore, this sticker features my interpretation of the legendary creature: part rooster, part serpent and part dragon, lurking outside a chicken coop alongside some rather unfortunate-looking chickens.
According to legend, a Cockatrice could be born from an egg laid by a rooster and incubated by a toad or serpent. Once hatched, it was said to possess a deadly gaze, poisonous breath and enough terrifying powers to frighten entire communities.
The original artwork was created by hand using pen, ink and watercolour, with the Cockatrice transformed into one of my characteristic black, white-eyed folklore creatures.
Perfect for lovers of British folklore, medieval monsters, mythical creatures and strange little things.
